100 photos: Spaces for Play, Creativity & Collaborative Learning
How to design spaces for play, creativity and collaborative learning will be the focus of this quick presentation. Examples of the newest experiments in Aarhus Public Libraries, including Tranformationlab 2, makerspaces, innovation camps and “speed-dating-your-politician-events” will be presented and inserted into the plans for the new library building in Aarhus: Dokk1 / Urban Mediaspace Aarhus http://www.urbanmediaspace.dk/en/dokk1
I was invited to Veria Central Public Library in 2008 to share ideas and experiences about Children’s libraries, sponsored by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. And I am looking so much forward to the Future Library Un-Conference 2013. I am a librarian and I have spent my time, energy and efforts toward embracing and making positive change within the library landscape for more than 30 years. Now I am working as a library transformer at Aarhus Public Libraries supporting the innovation of the library to meet the needs and challenges of citizens and communities in the knowledge Society. I have been especially dedicated to the vision about Dokk1 as ”a special place for children stimulating play, experiencing and learning”. Last year I participated in a Conversation about the future of Libraries in KLRNTV, Texas.
